Ranieri Communications to acquire Wildcard Communications

29th November 2017

Ranieri Communications has agreed a deal to purchase Wildcard Communications, a European comms specialist based in Germany.

The Marketing Group, Ranieri's parent company, has purchased Wildcard and will incorporate the business into Ranieri, further expanding its global, PR, social and influencer network following the acquisition of the French agency Reflexion Publique earlier this year.

Wildcard was founded in Germany in 2008 by chief executive officer Georg Reckenthaler, and serves a number of well-established brands such as BMW, Canon, EA Games and Bosch.

The firm generated revenues of 1.5 million euros (1.33 million pounds) during 2016, with the total consideration for the acquisition to be based on a three-year earnout at a maximum of seven times Wildcard's profits if the business achieves certain income and profit targets.

Pietro Ranieri, managing director of Ranieri Communications, said: "By bringing Wildcard into our growing network, we unlock additional shared value through our complementary service offering, sector focus and increased geographical reach."
