RB highlights progress towards key goals in 2014 sustainability report

23rd April 2015

RB has highlighted its commitment and progress in the area of environmental protection in its new sustainability report for 2014.

According to the document, the firm was able to reach more than 141 million people with its health and hygiene messaging by the end of last year. This is 70 percent of the way to its goal reaching 200 million people by 2020.

Meanwhile, 74 percent of RB's factories are now sending zero waste to landfill, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste, while a 25 percent cut in water use per unit of production has been achieved.

Additionally, 50 percent of the products in the company's pipeline are more sustainable than their predecessors.

Rakesh Kapoor, chief executive officer of RB, said: "We will continue to challenge ourselves to do more with less to achieve our vision of a world where people are healthier and live better."

This comes after the firm recently launched a partnership with Save the Children aimed at reducing the number of child deaths caused by diarrhoea, as part of its wider corporate social responsibility efforts.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801784834-ADNFCR
