RCVS announces Glasgow Question Time meeting
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) has announced plans to hold a Question Time meeting at Glasgow's Erskine Bridge Hotel on September 19th 2012.
Veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and other members of practice teams will be invited to pose questions to representatives of the RCVS during the meeting, including queries relating to issues currently affecting the profession.
Attendees will include the organisation's president Jacqui Molyneux and other members of the college and Veterinary Nurses Council, while no formal agenda will be imposed.
According to the trade body, this is because the intention is "for delegates to steer the discussion, as well as having an opportunity to meet colleagues and the RCVS team in a pleasant and informal setting".
Topics raised at recent meetings of this kind have included new legislation, the regulation of veterinary nurses and the new Codes of Professional Conduct.
Last week, the RCVS made a public statement clarifying its position on the disbudding of goats, following media reports relating undercover filming on UK goat farms.
