Reckitt Benckiser reveals 13 per cent net revenue growth

11th February 2009

Reckitt Benckiser has revealed its net revenue grew 13 per cent over the course of 2008.

Now standing at 1,825 million pounds, the new figure as a result of the increase was joined by a nine per cent rise in operating profit to 585 million pounds.

As a result, the organisation’s board has recommended a 60 per cent growth in the final dividend to 0.48 pounds per share, which brings the total for the year to 0.80 pounds per share – up 45 per cent on 2007’s figure.

Bart Becht, chief executive officer of Reckitt Benckiser, said the company had an “excellent year in 2008”.

He added: “All regions and all 17 Powerbrands contributed to this growth, supported by significant media investment and successful innovations such as Vanish Intelligence and Finish Max in 1.”

In October last year, the organisation noted in its third-quarter results a like-for-like net revenue growth of ten per cent, while adjusted diluted earnings per share rose to 0.395 pounds.
