ResMed launches extra-soft AirTouch F20 full face mask

ResMed has announced the launch of its new AirTouch F20 full face mask for use in the treatment of sleep apnoea.

The new mask is designed to be the softest continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) mask developed by ResMed to date, coming equipped with UltraSoft memory foam mask cushion technology.

The cushion adapts to the contours of each user's face, creating a personalised fit in evert case. It reduces facial markings and skin irritation, even when sealed firmly against the skin, with its permeable foam creating a breathable seal that allows some excess heat and sweat to escape.

It is compatible with any CPAP, including ResMed's new AirMini device, and will help address some of the comfort issues that represent the main reason why patients have difficulties adhering to sleep apnoea treatments.

Mick Farrell, chief executive officer of ResMed, said: "Since many patients spend all night, every night sleeping with their mask, we want all patients to be as comfortable and happy with their therapy and their sleep as possible."
