ResMed reports double-digit revenue growth for Q2 2017
ResMed has announced its financial results for the second quarter of its 2017 business year, during which it generated a revenue total of $530.4 million (421.8 million pounds).
This represents a year-on-year increase of 17 percent, or a nine percent rise when excluding the contribution made by the acquisition of the Brightree business in April 2016.
Solid growth of the company's Brightree software offerings and global device sales helped it to achieve 18 percent constant currency revenue growth, with its performance in the Americas showing particular strength.
In the last quarter, the firm received US regulatory clearance for the world's smallest travel continuous positive airway pressure device, while launching its new SleepScore Labs offering and reporting new clinical data showing how myAir can significantly improve patient adherence to sleep therapy in Europe.
Mick Farrell, ResMed's chief executive officer, said: "We are focused on our goal of changing the lives of 20 million patients by 2020 and we continue to lead the industry through an exciting pipeline of new products and connected care solutions."
