ResMed sees record financial performance in 2010
ResMed has published its financial report for the financial year ending on June 30th 2010, announcing record levels of revenue and income.
The medical technology firm’s revenue for the year increased by 19 per cent compared to 2009, surpassing the billion-dollar mark to reach a final total of $1.1 billion (700.4 million pounds).
Kieran Gallahue, president and chief executive officer, attributed this growth to the development and launch of new products for sleep-disordered breathing and its associated comorbidities in the last year.
He also highlighted the individual success of the S9 AutoSet and Elite products and ResMed’s year-on-year growth both in the Americas and in international markets.
“ResMed has delivered an outstanding return for our shareholders,” added Mr Gallahue.
Earlier this year, ResMed was presented with a red dot award for 2010 product design in honour of the construction of its S9 Series air-regulating medical device, emerging victorious from a field of 4,252 other products.
