Robin Engineering to market Chamunda medical products in the UK

10th March 2006

British company Robin Engineering is to market India-based Chamunda Corporation medical machinery in Britain and Europe, Manufacturing Talk has reported.

The company offers machines for use within pharmaceutical manufacturing. Included in their range is the Alpha Tablet Press, a high speed single rotary system which can produce 250,000 tablets an hour in 30, 37 and 47 station versions.

Chamunda also offers presses for smaller pharmaceutical operations. One such model, which can produce 55,000 tablets per hour, is suitable for medicines 16mm to 25mm in size. A smaller 12 station system can produce 15,000 tablets an hour. All machines are produced to high cGMP standards.

Other items in the range include fluidised bed drivers and 475 litre chamber volume processors, allowing 200kg to be processed per cycle.

The company claims that the machinery offers many economic benefits over products available with the UK and Europe regions.

Chamunda already supplies pharmaceutical machinery to businesses within the Asia Pacific and North American regions, and said that its agreement of Robin Engineering will help the firm establish a foot hold in the European and UK markets.
