Roche and MOMA Therapeutics Partner to Advance Cancer Treatment Discovery

8th January 2024

MOMA Therapeutics and Roche have entered into a strategic collaboration and licensing arrangement to identify potential cancer therapeutics.

Through the partnership, Roche will gain entry to MOMA’s KnowledgeBase system to pinpoint and advance novel drug targets associated with the proliferation and viability of malignant cells.

In accordance with the agreement, the corporation is entitled to receive an initial cash transaction of $66 million from Roche.

In addition to royalty fees, Roche will provide performance-based payments upon reaching more than $2 billion in relation to research and marketing objectives.

Asit Parikh, leading executive at MOMA Therapeutics, commented, “Given its deep expertise and global footprint in oncology, Roche represents an ideal collaborator with whom to further advance the application of MOMA’s platform in a way that impacts patients’ lives.”

Parikh went on to add, “It also contributes to the long-term sustainability of MOMA’s core focus as we advance our rich pipeline of precision oncology programmes to the clinic.”
