Roche announces changes to board of directors
Roche has confirmed a number of changes to its board of directors at its annual general meeting.
During the meeting, Christoph Franz was confirmed as chairman of the board, while Julie Brown and Claudia Sussmuth Dyckerhoff were elected as the board's newest members.
Meanwhile, long-serving board members Dame DeAnne Julius and Beatrice Weder di Mauro chose not to stand for re-election and have stepped down from their positions, earning recognition from the company for their various contributions.
Christoph Franz, chairman of the board of directors at Roche, said: "With the election of Julie Brown and Claudia Sussmuth Dyckerhoff, the board of directors has gained two leaders whose extensive experience will contribute to Roche's continued success."
All other board members who stood for re-election – Andre Hoffmann, Professor Pius Baschera, Professor Sir John Bell, Paul Bulcke, Professor Richard Lifton, Dr Andreas Oeri, Bernard Poussot, Dr Severin Schwan and Peter Voser – were confirmed for one-year terms.
Last year, Roche achieved year-on-year growth of five percent on a constant exchange rate basis, with further growth in the low to mid-single digit range expected in 2016.
