Roche launches CoaguChek INRange system for anticoagulated patients

1st June 2016

Roche has announced the launch of its new CoaguChek INRange system, which has been granted European CE Mark approval.

The system is a PT/INR home self-testing device with Bluetooth technology, enabling remote care programmes for anticoagulated patients by giving them greater control over their coagulation status and helping them monitor their vitamin K antagonist therapy.

By enabling patient self-testing with the CoaguChek INRange system, the device aims to improve the standard of care by helping patients to monitor their own PT/INR data, meaning the number of visits to the lab can be reduced.

It has been proven that frequent self-testing helps patients adhere to their monitoring therapy and spend more time in their therapeutic range, thus reducing the incidence of stroke or bleeding.

Roland Diggelmann, chief operating officer at Roche Diagnostics, said: "This innovative technology continues the CoaguChek legacy of setting the standard in coagulation monitoring by providing high-quality convenient care, while optimising outcomes for patients."

The company has been distributing the CoaguChek systems since 1993.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801819588-ADNFCR
