Roche launches new Ventana HE 600 system

13th November 2015

Roche has announced the launch of its new Ventana HE 600 system, an advanced new tissue staining solution.

The fully automated haematoxylin and eosin tissue staining system is designed to enhance patient and technician safety and produce exceptional staining quality, delivering fresh reagents on each individual slide without relying on user-supplied alcohol and deionised water.

This results in improved consistency and quality in tissue staining, as well as mitigating the risk of specimen cross-contamination, thereby helping to reduce patient misdiagnosis.

Additionally, the system's elimination of xylene and alcohol and its utilisation of ready-to-use reagents can reduce technician exposure to harmful chemicals. It offers more than 400 individual staining protocols and is fully customisable.

Roland Diggelmann, chief operating officer for Roche Diagnostics, said: "The system reflects Roche's commitment to delivering innovation that meets the labs' needs of today and tomorrow through meaningful advancements in staining quality, patient and laboratory safety and workflow."

This follows the European launch of Roche's new Cobas HIV-1, HCV and HCV genotyping assays earlier this month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801805708-ADNFCR
