Roche makes changes to corporate executive committee

12th December 2007

Roche Holding has appointed Gottlieb Keller to the position of general counsel on the company’s board of directors.

The appointment will be effective after the next annual general meeting of shareholders on March 4th 2008.

Dr Keller will continue to serve on the corporate executive committee in his position as head of corporate services.

His role as secretary of the board of directors will also expand to include additional tasks within the responsibility of the chairman of the board.

Dr Keller joined Roche’s Corporate Law department in 1984 and was appointed to head of corporate human resources as a member of the corporate executive committee in 2003.

However, Dr Keller will step down as head of corporate human resources following the 2008 shareholders’ meeting, at which time Silvia Ayyoubi will take on the role and will also become a member of the corporate executive committee.

Silvia Ayyoubi joined Roche in 1987 as a public relations manager and since 1991 has held various positions in the human resources department.
