Roche to present new clinical data at ACR/ARHP annual meeting

3rd November 2016

Roche has announced that it will be giving 15 oral presentations from 17 abstracts at this year's American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and Association for Rheumatology Health Professionals (ARHP) annual meeting.

The 2016 ACR/ARHP conference will be held from November 11th to 16th in Washington, DC and will see Roche share data on treatments for six autoimmune diseases and severe inflammatory disorders.

This will include the first presentation of data from GiACTA, the largest ever clinical trial in people with giant cell arteritis, a condition for which there has been no approved therapy in more than 50 years.

The findings will demonstrate the strong performance of Actemra/RoActemra in this indication, while results from two further studies will highlight cardiovascular outcomes for people with rheumatoid arthritis treated with this drug.

Additionally, treatment insights showcasing the benefits of Rituxan/MabThera for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, granulomatosis with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis will also be presented.

Dr Sandra Horning, Roche's chief medical officer and head of global product development, said: "Building on our more than a decade of experience in providing treatment options for people suffering from rheumatologic conditions, we look forward to sharing new data at this year's ACR/ARHP meeting."
