Rock Medical Communications appoints associate director

Rock Medical Communications has welcomed Laura Patel to its senior team after appointing her to the role of associate director.

Ms Patel will bring more than a decade of medical communications experience to the organisation, having previously been employed by companies including Medicus International and Inspired Science, reports PMLive.

She has contributed to programmes for US and Europe-based global pharmaceutical clients, while she has also worked for a conference company and as a writer in medical publishing in the past.

Eric Hansen, director of Rock Medical Communications, said: "With over ten years experience in healthcare communications, Laura has an in-depth understanding of the drug discovery, regulatory and marketing processes across all therapeutic areas."

Rock is led by head of medical education Joanne Neave and works with companies across the field of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, devices and diagnostics, nutraceuticals, advocacy and associations.

In addition to the UK and Europe, its international network covers North America, the Middle East, Africa, the Far East and the South Pacific.
