Royal Canin launches new Multifunction diets for cats and dogs

31st March 2016

Royal Canin has announced the launch of Multifunction, its new range of diets for cats and dogs that are afflicted by multiple health conditions.

The diets are designed for the nutritional management of animals with a variety of nutritional priorities and requirements, meaning vets no longer have to choose which condition takes precedence when developing a nutritional assessment.

The GFR-AFR offering combines the benefits of the manufacturer's renal and hypoallergenic diets, while the S/O-AFR diet is designed for the nutritional management of cats and dogs with lower urinary tract disease and adverse food reactions.

S/O-KCAL Control is ideal for overweight pets with lower urinary tract issues, with the S/O Biopeptide offering for cats providing urine dilution, emotional balance and struvite dissolution with a reduced calorie content, and the C2P+-KCAL Control option designed for overweight dogs with joint issues.

Marianne Lomberg, Royal Canin's veterinary marketing manager, said: "Until now, we have not been able to provide vets with a diet for a pet that has already been diagnosed with two equally serious concurrent conditions … Our new Multifunction diets do just this."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801815713-ADNFCR
