Royal Canin says cats will benefit from new product
Royal Canin says cats will be able to benefit from its new product because of the nutritional expertise involved in creating it.
The veterinary supplies company, which focuses on food for dogs and cats, recently unveiled the Feline Health Nutrition Wet Cat range.
It follows what Royal Canin described as a “nutritional breakthrough” – the discovery of what is called the Macro Nutrient Profile (MNP).
This is said to actually mean “long-term palatability”, company spokesperson Geraldine Jacquier explained.
“MNP is what drives a cat to select the best possible balance of nutrients for its current health status,” she added.
A total of six products is to be included in the Feline Health Nutrition Wet Cat range, with some available as a mouse version or as chunks in gravy.
It is set hit UK shelves this month.
Meanwhile, Royal Canin previously announced the launch of its new food for British shorthair cats over the age of 12 months.
It includes a special kibble which is aimed at encouraging the cats to crunch properly.
