RVN appealing for practices to support animals affected by the Australian bush fires

13th January 2020

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), Robyn Hibberd, is appealing for practices to donate as much as possible in aid to support the suffering animals who have been affected by the on-going Australian bush fires. This is following on from her recent benevolence where she rounded up supplies including, blankets, bandages, cotton wool and sterile surgical equipment at her practice, known as Springfield Veterinary Surgery, and then donated the eleven kilograms of goods to ‘The Rescue Collective’ group based in Brisbane.

Miss Hibberd stated: “I want to encourage more people and practices to donate whatever they can. It was important for me to make sure the items I was sending were not restricted. I telephoned the BSAVA and spoke to the RCVS for advice on this, both were very helpful, and I would urge others to do the same.”
