Sandoz biopharmaceuticals head recognised for drug research achievements
Sandoz's global head of biopharmaceuticals Carol Lynch has been named as one of the industry's most influential people by Medicine Maker, a leading international publication.
Ms Lynch was ranked eighth in a ranking of the top 100 people who play the biggest role in bringing medicines to patients – a list that includes some of the most prominent and inspirational individuals currently working in the field.
Nominations were submitted by the publication's readers and ranked by an expert judging panel, with all sectors of the industry – including researchers, formulators, manufacturing technicians, marketers and business leaders – represented.
Ms Lynch leads more than 3,000 people in spearheading the development, manufacturing and commercialisation of biosimilars for Sandoz, as well as heading up its biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing business.
She has more than 25 years of global pharmaceutical and generics industry experience and is a member of the Sandoz executive committee, as well as serving as the current chair of the European Biosimilars Group, a Medicines for Europe sector group.
