Sandoz confirms major expansion of global headquarters

Sandoz has announced plans to expand its global headquarters in Holzkirchen, Germany, as part of its broader growth strategy.

The company will commit $50 million (38.57 million pounds) to create two additional office buildings at the site near Munich, with each building providing space for around 250 new workplaces. This work is expected to be complete by the end of 2018.

Sandoz is taking the opportunity to develop the Holzkirchen site into a more modern campus that prioritises collaborative and flexible working across its global head office, regional and local business operations, and research and development, production and service facilities.

Richard Francis, chief executive officer of Sandoz, said: "This decision to expand our headquarters underlines our confidence in the growth potential of our business."

The company has grown steadily over the last few years and now employs more than 1,800 employees at its two existing building complexes in Holzkirchen, as well as various leased offices across the south Munich area.
