Sartorius sees double-digit growth during first nine months of 2016
Sartorius has announced its financial results for the first nine months of 2016, during which it saw above-market growth across both of its main divisions.
The company's sales revenues for the year to date is 965.1 million euros (864.9 million pounds), representing a year-on-year increase of 17.9 percent in constant currency terms, while its earnings were up 24.6 percent to 241.4 million euros.
Sartorius' bioprocess solutions division saw especially strong growth, with all product segments reporting double-digit growth rates and the acquisitions of BioOutsource, Cellca and kSep making a positive contribution.
Meanwhile, the lab products and services division continued its positive business momentum, thanks in part to the buyouts of IntelliCyt and ViroCyt.
Based on these strong results, the company has confirmed its financial outlook for the year, with group sales revenue projected to increase by about 15 to 18 percent compared to 2015.
Dr Joachim Kreuzburg, chief executive officer of Sartorius, said: "The combination of these young, highly innovative technologies with our international reach and sales strength provides additional promising growth potential."
