Sempermed launches new nitrile glove range

Sempermed has released a new range of nitrile gloves which are designed to offer superior sensitivity and comfort while also providing protection from pathogens.

The new Sempercare Nitrile Skin2 glove is a single-use product which is designed to be thinner than its existing Nitrile glove, which means it offers better tactile sensitivity and unrestrictive elasticity.

It is also optimised to offer protection against infections from viruses and bodily fluids, having been successfully tested for resistance to blood-borne pathogens according to ASTM F 1671 standards.

The company said that its light and disposable nature also means it can offer cost-saving benefits for medical and alternate care facilities.

It added that its existing Nitrile range remains the recommended choice in the handling of more aggressively hazardous substances due to its thicker design.

Last month, parent company Semperit published its financial breakdown for 2009, highlighting the success of its Sempermed unit in reducing costs during the economic downturn.
