Shimadzu launches high-speed liquid chromatography system

23rd April 2010

Shimadzu has launched a new ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) system which is designed to offer fast and accurate results.

The science company’s new LC-30A Nexera device offers attributes such as a wide flow range and a microreactor-based mixer, allowing versatile performance, short gradient delays and a small system volume.

It also includes an autosampler that uses three rinse solvents, various rinsing modes and design changes to the needle, thereby providing reduced carryover compared to previous units.

In addition, the Nexera is designed to be used for semi-micro, conventional and UHPLC methods, while eliminating the need to make changes on the flowline.

The manufacturer said: “Shimadzu’s new LC-30A Nexera is unsurpassed in high-speed and high-resolution analysis and productivity. It meets the needs of the most demanding markets such as pharmaceutical and the food industry.”

Other high performance liquid chromatography systems released by Shimadzu include the LC-20A Prominence series and the integrated LC-2010.
