Shimadzu says AA-7000 spectrophotometer series is user-friendly

13th March 2009

Shimadzu has described its AA-7000 series of spectrophotometers as user-friendly and the first AAs to use vibration sensors as standard.

The Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers come equipped with flexible configuration systems and high-sensitivity analysis, as well as a compact footprint and efficient operation.

In a recent statement, Shimadzu pointed out some of the other benefits of the equipment, such as 3D double-beam optics for maximum performance, a new graphite furnace design and safety features including gas leak detectors.

It also highlighted the series’ ability to be attached to the AAC-7000 Auto Atomiser Changer and create a furnace and integral burner for permanent installation in the combustion chamber.

"The integral construction with the atomiser saves space," Shimadzu said.

Meanwhile, this week saw the company announce the launch of an online 12-page magazine it has co-created with the scientific journal Nature.

The publication is an attempt to connect further with international customers. It includes articles on solar planes and the European arm of the group, among other topics.
