Shine Communications wins brief with software firm Xero

Shine Communications has been handed a new contract by Xero, a global online accounting software company based in New Zealand.

The agency has been briefed to provide an integrated campaign for the client, encompassing social, search, PR, creative, media buying and planning, in order to increase awareness and business opportunities for Xero.

Whiteoaks' contract handling trade and accounting press PR for Xero will not be affected by this new arrangement.

Xero has been able to double its customer base year-on-year since launching in the UK in 2008 and is now Britain's number one cloud accounting application for small businesses. Shine was selected for this brief based on its experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns.

Shine director Erika Kessel said: "It’s incredible what [Xero] has achieved in the southern hemisphere, and we are looking forward to further strengthening its position in the UK market."

Other high-profile Shine clients include brands such as Sony Computer Entertainment, eBay, Lacoste, Direct Line, Paramount and Volkswagen.
