Shire issues Corporate Responsibility Highlights 2007

14th October 2008

Shire has made available a publication entitled Shire Corporate Responsibility Highlights 2007.

The company explains the magazine records its achievements during the 12-month period, as well as the steps taken in new product development and the firm’s leadership development program for its employees.

Also included in the publication is news on charitable contributions made to communities and the evolution of grant-giving practices in the USA, Shire explains.

The magazine is available in hard copy format by emailing cr@shire.com and can also be downloaded from the company’s dedicated corporate responsibility website.

According to the firm, the web resource covers information about all corporate responsibility aspects of its business, adding it is updated with new content on a regular basis.

In recent days, Shire announced that a study published in the September issue of the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry found once-daily Vyvanse reduced symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in adults within the first week of treatment.

Commenting on the findings, lead researcher Lenard Adler said: “This study adds to the growing body of research of ADHD in adults, and showed that Vyvanse provided effective symptom control for adults with this disorder.”
