Siemens’ Acuson S1000 wins praise from Loughborough Hospital

14th January 2014

Siemens Healthcare has earned praise for its Acuson S1000 ultrasound system from Loughborough Hospital, which recently purchased one of the devices.

The facility, which is part of the Derbyshire Community Health Services group, has been able to improve ultrasound capabilities and decrease patient waiting times since installing the system.

Chosen for its excellent imaging quality, the Acuson S1000 has been installed in a newly converted ultrasound room, allowing the hospital to increase capacity to more than 120 patients per week.

The device will be utilised for musculoskeletal ultrasound procedures around one-third of the time, with the rest of its time being spent on more generalised ultrasound work.

Peter Downing, regional sales manager at Siemens Healthcare, said: "It is good to know that the new system is helping improve department productivity by increasing patient throughput. Plus, patients are gaining a faster service with dependable results thanks to the excellent image quality."

This comes after the firm recently provided ultrasound professionals with hands-on training in the use of the advanced Acuson S2000 model at Eastwood Hall Hotel.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801682118-ADNFCR
