Siemens Healthcare rebrands as Siemens Healthineers

Siemens has rebranded its Siemens Healthcare division with a new name, Siemens Healthineers.

The amended name is designed to reflect the company's pioneering spirit and engineering expertise in the healthcare sector, while refreshing the overall corporate identity of the business.

This change will not affect the company's overall strategy, which remains focused on building its medical imaging and laboratory diagnostic portfolio, while complementing it with new offerings such as management, consulting and digital services.

Bernd Montag, chief executive officer of Siemens Healthcare, said: "Our new name is a bold signal for our ambition and expresses our identity as a people company – 45,000 employees worldwide who are passionate about empowering healthcare providers to optimally serve their patients."

The new name was adopted on May 4th and is intended to help the company remain a leading player in the market at a time when the healthcare industry is undergoing significant evolution and change.
