Siemens launches Acuson P300 ultrasound system

Siemens has announced the launch of the Acuson P300m, a new ultrasound system that serves a broad spectrum of patients, body types and clinical disciplines.

Designed for portability, the device can be used in applications from radiology and general imaging to cardiovascular uses, as well as specialist cases such as the imaging of musculoskeletal structures, breasts and small parts.

It is ideal for obtaining fast diagnoses in difficult conditions and features several innovations to optimise its efficiency, including image enhancement tools, a broad frequency range and a total of 13 transducers.

Moreover, its small footprint makes it easy to store and transport, while its 15-inch LCD display is extremely intuitive to use.

Siemens said the device "encompasses advanced ultrasound technology and excellent imaging performance in one portable package, thus enabling comprehensive patient care everywhere and anytime".

Last month, the manufacturer highlighted the key role its recent donation of two Acuson X150 ultrasound devices to Doctors of the World has played in bolstering care initiatives in Cambodia.
