Sigma-Aldrich and AB SCIEX announce distribution deal

17th September 2012

Sigma-Aldrich has allied with AB SCIEX to globally distribute a range of mass spectrometry-based tagging chemistries for applications in basic research and applied markets.

The original equipment manufacturer agreement for the SCIEX iChemistry Solutions range will see Sigma-Aldrich provide the international research community with easy and reliable access to AB SCIEX's unique reagents and consumables.

This arrangement strengthens Sigma-Aldrich's existing portfolio of reagents for mass spectrometry-based protein research, while also providing the basis for future collaborations in this field.

It comes as part of wider efforts by the company to expand its portfolio of tools for proteomics research.

Josef Zihlmann, vice-president for marketing at Sigma-Aldrich, said: "We are continually adding to our collection of 60,000 antibodies that enable researchers to accurately discern dynamic states of proteins in key pathways throughout the proteome."

Earlier this month, the company launched a series of unique KiCqStart Primer pairs designed to help accelerate the quantifying gene expression process.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801450894-ADNFCR
