Sigma-Aldrich launches new Cerilliant drug interference testing solutions

17th September 2015

Sigma-Aldrich has announced the launch of its first ever reference solutions for qualitative evaluation of drug interferences in a testing laboratory's analytical methods.

Part of its Cerilliant brand offering, the seven multi-component solution mixes contain more than 50 of the most routinely monitored over-the-counter and prescription drugs, making them ideal for therapeutic drug monitoring, confirmatory drug testing and forensic analysis in bioavailability/bioequivalence and pharmacokinetic studies.

Regulations for drug bioanalysis state that manufacturers of laboratory-developed tests must determine the effect of interfering substances during the design, development and validation of analytical methods.

As such, interfering substances such as drugs and metabolites can impact measurement accuracy, with these compounds originating from many sources. The new Sigma-Aldrich testing solutions can help to circumvent these issues.

Cerilliant will offer the seven mixes separately or as a kit for added convenience.

This comes after Sigma-Aldrich signed a deal with Public Health England to provide National Collection of Type Cultures and National Collection of Pathogenic Fungi-certified reference materials last month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801800767-ADNFCR
