Sigma-Aldrich strikes distribution deal with Goodfellow Cambridge

22nd January 2014

Sigma-Aldrich has agreed a strategically beneficial worldwide distribution deal with metals and materials supplier Goodfellow Cambridge.

The agreement will see Sigma-Aldrich market and distribute Goodfellow's portfolio of materials, including metals, alloys and ceramics, to research and industry clients.

Initially, Sigma-Aldrich will begin immediately distributing more than 10,000 Goodfellow products, before the offer is expanded to include the firm's entire portfolio of 70,000 products within the coming months.

Applications of the materials include medical devices, advanced electronics, electromagnetic shielding, X-ray technology, alternative energy and other scientific and industrial areas. All products will be available globally beginning in April 2015.

Bryce Nelson, initiative lead for Aldrich Materials Science, said this move "expands Sigma-Aldrich's robust family of products for engineers and materials scientists. These products complement our current metals and ceramics offering and are aligned with our strategic focus areas".

This comes after the firm announced the launch of its new genetically-modified HepaRG human liver cell line through its Sigma Life Science division earlier this month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801685197-ADNFCR
