Simplyhealth announces changeover of leadership of Denplan business

Simplyhealth has announced that Steve Gates, the managing director of its Denplan business, will be stepping down at the end of the month.

Over the course of a 21-year career with Denplan and Simplyhealth, Mr Gates has played a central role in the development of Denplan into the leading payment plan provider for both dentists and vets in the UK.

Under his leadership, Denplan has grown to serve more than 6,500 member dentists, who provide care for approximately 1.7 million Denplan-registered patients between them.

Caroline Coleman has been named as the new leader of Simplyhealth's dental and veterinary business. She is the current head of the vets business and can boast considerable leadership experience.

Romana Abdin, chief executive of Simplyhealth, said: "Caroline knows our healthcare professionals from her experience inside our business, and is well placed to lead the team through this next period of growth."

Simplyhealth was named the UK's best health insurance provider at the Personal Finance Awards in November, highlighting the strength of the brand and the high esteem in which it is held by consumers.
