Simplyhealth named top health insurance firm at Personal Finance Awards

Simplyhealth has earned the accolade of best health insurance provider at the 2013 Personal Finance Award, following a consumer vote conducted via The Money Pages.

This was the second year in a row that Simplyhealth claimed this award, having invested a significant amount into its private medical insurance offering during the year, while launching two new products – Simply Personal Health and Simply Employee Health.

Presented in London last week, the Personal Finance Awards are now in their 16th year and recognise the trust that consumers place in products and services from leading companies.

The company has won a number of prizes at this event over the last few years, including the title of best health-related provider in 2010 and 2011.

Jamie Wilson, customer director at Simplyhealth, said: "We're proud to have been named best health insurance provider for the second year in a row and would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote."

According to a survey carried out by the firm earlier this year, 80 percent of Simplyhealth customers would recommend the insurer to a friend.
