Simplyhealth to sponsor latest series of Doc Martin

Simplyhealth has announced that it will once again be the exclusive sponsor of the ITV medical drama Doc Martin, which will begin a new series on September 2nd 2013.

The health and dental insurer is the long-term sponsorship partner of the popular TV show starring Martin Clunes, which is returning for its sixth series this year and will be airing every Monday for eight weeks.

Simplyhealth sponsored the previous two series of the programme in 2009 and 2011 and will once again be prominently featuring its commercials throughout the broadcasts.

Doc Martin provides Simplyhealth with a significant advertising platform for its services and products, with the fifth series of the show achieving an average of 9.2 million viewers and a 36 percent audience share two years ago.

Clare Lee, Simplyhealth's head of brand, PR and digital marketing, said: "Simplyhealth creative will be shown before and after each episode and in the ad breaks and will focus on promoting our range of healthcare benefits."
