Sirona launches Cerec Omnicam CAD/CAM system

Sirona Dental Systems has announced the launch of its new Cerec Omnicam CAD/CAM system, helping to provide dental professionals with improved visuals.

The device delivers continuous colour 3D imaging of the oral cavity to help improve precision for treatments, while its powder-free approach makes the capture of images easier and faster than ever.

Furthermore, its slim, rounded design makes the camera easier to operate in the confines of the mouth cavity.

Dr Joachim Pfeiffer, vice-president for CAD/CAM and chief technology officer for Sirona Dental Systems, commented: "The development of the CEREC Omnicam represents a technical revolution, optimally balancing the needs of perfect operator convenience in handling, with highly precise restorative outcomes."

Earlier this month, the firm launched its Schick 33 intraoral digital sensor and image management system.

The product is able to be fully integrated into existing Schick systems and provides a number of tools for dentists, including dynamic image enhancement, image preference presets for ease of use and a user-definable tasks system to quickly change settings.
