Sirona sees strong revenue growth in first quarter of 2012
Sirona Dental Systems has published its financial data for the first quarter of its 2012 fiscal year, during which it generated revenues of $258.1 million (163.42 million pounds).
This represented an increase of $22.5 million on last year's first quarter, equivalent to year-on-year growth of 9.5 percent, with particularly strong performance seen in the Asia-Pacific region.
Imaging systems saw the highest growth rate among Sirona's business divisions, with a 23.8 percent growth rate recorded, while its instrument, treatment centre and CAD/CAM systems also saw improved sales.
Jost Fischer, chairman and chief executive officer of Sirona, said growth was driven by its strong product range and its expanding presence across the world.
"These results demonstrate the effectiveness of our strategy to build out our global sales and service infrastructure and position us well for continued robust revenue growth in the second quarter and for the full fiscal year 2012," he added.
This comes after the company recently expanded its Siroperio and Siroimplant product ranges with new high-quality ultrasonic tips.
