Sirona wins design award for inEos X5 scanner
Sirona has earned a prestigious iF product design award for inEos X5, its acclaimed extraoral scanner.
Seeing off major international competition from 4,615 entries spanning 55 countries, the device was once again able to claim the prize, following on from its victory at the Good Design Awards in 2013.
The device impressed judges with its ease of handling, accurate scanning technology and functional flexibility, plus its combination of automated and manual scanning options.
It means Sirona has now won the iF design award a total of 13 times in 61 years. Previous Sirona offerings that won iF prizes include Cerec Omnicam and the Teno treatment centre.
Johannes Krug, product manager for lab hardware at Sirona, said: "Good design is not an end in itself; rather, it makes an essential contribution to the fact that our products are easier to handle."
This comes after IR Magazine and Institutional Investor presented the company with an award earlier this year based on the high standard of its investor relations policies.
