Sirona wins Red Dot Award for inEos X5

31st July 2014

Sirona has been presented with an internationally-recognised Red Dot Design Award for its acclaimed inEos X5 CAD/CAM scanner.

The device earned the prestigious accolade following a comprehensive assessment procedure lasting several days, with the 40-strong judging panel praised for its extensive technical capabilities and unique design.

With inEos X5, dental technicians can digitalise models and impressions precisely and quickly, with its practical handling and simple operation making it easy to use even for beginners. Key features include its large scan area, specially developed joint arm and choice of automatic or manual scanning options.

In order to claim this prize, Sirona was able to see off competition from 1,816 manufacturers from 53 different countries.

Professor Dr Peter Zec, the initiator of the Red Dot Award and director of the Design Museum in Essen, said: "Given the high quality of the submissions, it was not easy for the experts on the jury to reach a decision. Only the very best products were presented with the coveted award for design excellence."

The inEos X5 was launched in May 2013 and has proven a huge success for Sirona in the months since.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801739064-ADNFCR
