Sirona wins Red Dot Award for Sidexis 4 X-ray software

Sirona has won a Red Dot Best of the Best Award for its user-friendly Sidexis 4 X-ray software.

The software solution was able to prevail over nearly 7,500 submissions from 53 countries, with judges praising the product for its intuitive and user-friendly interface.

Developed in collaboration with software specialist Heinrich and Reuter Solutions, the Sidexis 4 interface is based on workflows and can handle all pertinent patient image data and common file formats.

The software acts as a central hub for the integration of diagnostic image data, allowing a full overview of treatment history to be viewed in a timeline, facilitating cross-comparisons between the image data and to identify changes in the course of treatment.

Dr Nadia Amor, senior product manager for imaging software at Sirona, said: "We've received feedback from many users that the entire workflow in the practice has improved with the software upgrade and that diagnosis, planning and treatment are simpler, faster and safer."

Earlier this month, the company announced a merger with Dentsply that will result in the creation of the world's leading manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies.
