Sirona x-ray machine “star performer”
Sirona has supplied a new oral surgery practice with a Galileos dental and facial x-ray machine.
The Galileos uses digital, three-dimensional technology to record images used in specialist oral and maxillofacial surgery and has been described as a significant step in the field.
It will be used at the new Oral Surgery Associates practice in Aukland, which was officially opened on Friday. Sirona’s x-ray device was described as “the star performer” of the event by Voxy.
Dustin Habeck, team leader of Sirona New Zealand, was quoted as saying: “We are very proud to be in partnership with Oral Surgery Associates bringing the first Galileos x-Ray machine to Auckland.
“It’s very exciting technology.”
A partner in the practice, Dr Neil Luyk, said the Galileos can allow effective planning for oral surgery, such as the safer removal of wisdom teeth.
The Galileos is available in two options – the Compact and the Comfort.
Henry Schein also contributed to the practice’s grand opening.
