Smiles Direct Aligners Service Hits Bankruptcy
Ella Jackson
Smiles Direct, a dental company recognized for providing transparent aligners online, announced late last week that it has made the “incredibly difficult decision” to shut down this service.
Located in the US, the dental firm was selling dental aligners for around £1,800 without requiring a dental appointment.
The business claims in an online post to have “improved more than two million smiles and lives.”
Despite clients requiring routine appointments or modifications for their aligners, the company has stated that its dental care line will no longer be available, leaving users worried.
Smiles Direct stated that once the bankruptcy case progresses and “next steps” are decided, more details on reimbursements will be provided.
