Smith and Nephew opens new commercial hub near London

Smith and Nephew has announced the launch of its new commercial hub at Croxley Green Business Park, located north of London.

More than 90 employees are now working at the site, with around 200 employees to be based there by early 2017. The hub will serve as the headquarters of the company's UK and Ireland business, which serves healthcare customers including the NHS.

It will also house a training centre for UK and international customers, as well as the global marketing team for Smith and Nephew's advanced wound management businesses and a number of roles across areas such as finance.

Pinder Sahota, managing director for Smith and Nephew in the UK and Ireland, said: "Bringing all our commercial operations under one roof will enable us to work seamlessly to serve our customers in the UK and Ireland better. We look forward to welcoming customers and colleagues to Croxley Green."

The firm employs more than 15,000 people worldwide and has a presence in over 100 countries. It enjoyed a successful year in 2015, with sales exceeding $4.6 billion (3.26 billion pounds).
