Sophos moves UK and Ireland brief to The PR Network

The PR Network has taken over from Text100 as the agency responsible for tech security firm Sophos' B2B PR activities in the UK and Ireland.

This marks the conclusion of a four-year relationship between Sophos and Text100, which has also recently ended its contract with IBM and reduced its work with Vodafone, PR Week reported.

UK managing director of Text100 Tara O'Donnell said the company had enjoyed "four successful years" with Sophos and had decided not to repitch for the latest brief.

Louise Harris, Sophos' new senior PR manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said the firm's work with The PR Network would be primarily focused on the B2B space, although consumer engagement will also be a priority.

"As our product portfolio expands into the consumer security space, with Sophos Home Premium, The PR Network will also work to drive awareness and engagement with the end consumer around issues relating to cybersecurity protection," she said.

The new contract will officially commence on April 1st 2018.
