Source BioScience unveils clone and antibody resource

24th June 2011

Source BioScience has announced the launch of a new resource portfolio aimed at clone and antibody researchers.

According to the genetic analysis company, the system will be the largest publicly available database of its kind in the world and is set to provide researchers with access to more than 20 million DNA clones.

The portfolio has been developed in conjunction with an intelligent search engine known as GenomeCube, which will help users to locate the information they need using a range of common identifiers from international scientific databases.

Dr Nick Leaves, chief operating officer at Source BioScience, described the resource as "an invaluable tool for biological research".

He added: "Researchers will now be able to locate and buy these products from a single site."

Chief executive Dr Nick Ash said the clone and antibody portfolios of Source BioScience have been significantly boosted by the recent acquisition of Berlin-based firm imaGenes.

The company confirmed the transaction in December last year, signalling its intention to expand from the UK into Germany and the wider European market.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800599300-ADNFCR
