19th May 2010

SSL International has seen its sales in the 12 months ending March 31st 2010 increase by 24.9 per cent year-on-year.

According to the firm’s latest fiscal breakdown, its total business sales figure for 2009-10 came to 802.5 million pounds, up from 642.4 million pounds last year.

The company’s leading contraceptive brand Durex was among the product lines to see improvements, with sales growing by 4.8 per cent compared to the previous 12-month period.

Garry Watts, chief executive of SSL International, said this performance aligns with its target of achieving a 50 per cent growth in earnings per share by March 2012.

He added: “The global economy seems to be improving although in certain territories recovery will be slow. This is in line with our predictions and we continue to expect to perform strongly.”

Other healthcare-oriented brands owned and operated by SSL International include the oral analgesics Paramol and Cuprofen, as well as the headlice treatment Full Marks.
