St Jude Medical launches VantageView monitor system

20th June 2011

St Jude Medical has announced the European and US launch of VantageView, a visualisation tool for use in the monitoring of critical case information in electrophysiology labs.

The system has been designed to consolidate information from multiple technologies – including mapping systems, recording systems and fluoroscopy and ultrasound devices – into one centralised location.

It incorporates a 56-inch high-definition monitor that can display up to eight video images simultaneously, eliminating the need for multiple monitors.

According to St Jude Medical, VantageView offers higher image quality than alternative products and can be seamlessly integrated with labs' multiple diagnostic and treatment systems.

Jane Song, president of the St Jude Medical atrial fibrillation division, said: "For the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, improving procedural workflow is an important way to create efficiencies and manage the cost of delivering care."

Earlier this month, the company announced that its new Portico transcatheter aortic heart valve has been implanted successfully in a patient for the first time.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800584705-ADNFCR
