St Jude Medical will be demonstrating some of its latest product advances throughout this week at Heart Rhythm 2014, the Heart Rhythm Society's annual scientific sessions.
The company is attending the event in San Francisco from May 7th to 10th in order to share clinical evidence about its cardiac rhythm management and ablation technologies in 38 sessions.
A trio of late-breaking clinical trial sessions will be included in the presentations, offering new data on the performance of the Merlin remote monitoring system and Nanostim leadless pacemaker, as well as evidence on the benefits of thoracic spinal cord stimulation for heart failure.
Additionally, the company will present the latest research on its various quadripolar pacing, device leads and cardiac ablation technology during the event.
Dr Mark Carlson, chief medical officer for St Jude Medical, said: "We will continue investing in important research and developing technologies that reduce costs and improve patient outcomes."
During the first quarter of 2014, the firm generated net sales of $1.36 billion (801.89 million pounds), representing a two percent year-on-year increase.
