Stand Agency to help promote Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

Stand Agency has been hired by the charity group Ovarian Cancer Action to help promote a major awareness campaign in March.

The agency has been hired to help promote Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, an event that will aim to get people talking about the disease, including women concerned about cancer and friends and family members of those who may be affected.

The agency has been briefed to raise awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer and encourage women to take action and get checked, with the campaign to utilise a combination of traditional and social media, and input from celebrity ambassadors.

Laura Oliphant, co-founder and managing director of Stand Agency, said: "There is a misconception that ovarian cancer doesn't have any symptoms, but often the warning signs are there. We want to encourage women to listen to their bodies and their instincts."

Ovarian Cancer Action provides funding for scientists while also working to motivate people across the UK to take action on identifying the disease.
