Steris launches new VaproQuip Decontamination Room
Steris has announced the launch of the VaproQuip Decontamination Room, a modular system that can transform equipment storage room areas into high-turn processing centres.
This latest advance in environmental surface decontamination technology is designed for the application of the Vaprox Hydrogen Peroxide Sterilant to noncritical items such as equipment, furniture and other environmental surfaces.
It utilises a validated decontamination process to provide a six-log microbial reduction on surfaces and has been optimised for ease of operation and better efficiency.
Users need only ensure their equipment and furniture surfaces are visibly clean and dry before the decontamination process can begin, while the modular panel construction means it can be installed in existing room spaces.
Ted Mielnik, vice-president of global vaporised hydrogen peroxide application development at Steris, said the company has "worked extensively with customers to develop a solution that addresses their key concerns related to cross-contamination on high-touch patient care environmental surfaces".
In March, the company launched its new Steris OT 1000 Orthopaedic Surgical Table, a new innovation for perioperative surgical applications.
